Overall Summary
Vallot has a thick body, especially through the midsection, and will be a high maintenance upkeep going forward, but he should never have a problem with durability. Presently, he struggles to consistently block balls in the dirt and struggles to move laterally when pitchers miss their spot, but with more reps behind the plate, he'll be able to improve on both aspects. At the plate, Vallot shows a good recognition of the strike zone but lacks ideal pitch recognition skills and will swing and miss with pitches in the strike zone. The true strength of his game comes from his plus raw power and the utility of it in game situations. Overall, Vallot will never be an asset behind the plate, but it is enough to be played there consistently, where his bat will be an asset in the middle of a lineup.
