Physical Description
Mature, athletic body. Room to build strength without hindering development.
Mechanical Notes
Smooth, easily repeatable delivery; lifts arms/leg in sequence allowing him to get clean arm drop from glove. Quickly gets to short circle with high 3/4 release point. Hides ball well; controlled drive towards plate; Max effort.

Fastball
Fastball 55 55 88-91 93 Heavy pitch with some arm side sink and late movement; Can jump on RHH and create weak contact. Better locating to arm side, but overall more control than command. Will get extra life up, but inconsistent. Pounds the zone, but will have pitch leak to middle of the plate.

Curveball
Curveball 45 50 77-79 79 Similar action to slider; more 10-to-4, slurve-like bend in it. Can overthrow at times spinning into dirt before plate. Better when coming in pitch sequence after slider.

Overall Summary
Spot starter with repeatable delivery who shows ability to battle and pound zone with four pitches. Leans on fastball heavily showing more control than command of pitch and will have it leak middle. When commanding, fastball will be heavy and have arm side sink with late movement creating weak contact. Shows pitchability by working fastball in on RHH first time through lineup and then throwing off-speed pitches second and third time through. Slider can be an above-average pitch with late, tight tilt off fastball plane. Able to spot pitch to glove side; willing to bury with good depth when ahead in the count. Curveball has some 10-to-4, slurve-like bend in it; similar action to slider but a tad slower. Can overthrow and spin into dirt before plate; pitch works best in conjunction with slider where it will make hitters leak forward and swing over top. Straight change is a below-average pitch with light tumble; lacks confidence and will show pitch early in count but not used frequently. Development could continue with the pitch since fastball has some good action. Shows poise, and has an attacking game plan looking to pound zone in and get hitters to make weak contact. Has trouble putting hitters away when ahead in the count and will leave pitches up leading to contact. I don't see him reaching his ceiling due to the inability to miss bats when ahead in the count, and due to inconsistent third pitch. Would be best suited to spot starter role where he could limit his looks to twice through lineup.
