Physical Description
Stocky build on medium frame; Looks like a non-athlete with bad body.
Mechanical Notes
From stretch only; slight bend at waist before high leg kick and a whippy, max-effort 3/4 arm angle. Utilizes glove arm elbow as a guide, pointing the elbow directly at the plate and hiding the ball well behind his body. Can open up his front shoulder, leading to arm side run and poor command at times.

Slider
Slider 60 60 84-85 85 Late downward, cutting action; tough for hitters to pick up when it cuts off fastball plane. Will bury in dirt when ahead in count. Doesn't have ability to dial back spin for strikes; present out pitch.

Overall Summary
Right-handed reliever with electric arm that misses lots of bats, yet inconsistent present command and control. Fastball has arm-side bore, but can run early when he opens his front shoulder. Throws fastball early and often, setting up other off-speed pitches. Has trouble getting to glove side; generally sits middle/arm side, but gets by with near-elite velocity. Slider is best secondary; out pitch that will generate lot of swing and miss. Has late downward, cutting action off fastball plane. Straight changeup with soft drop; utilized more as pitch to keep hitters off balance. Can choke it at times leading to pitch diving into dirt early. Unathletic body and inconsistent landing point leads to command issues. Best suited for one-inning outings currently. Needs to improve conditioning and continue to improve control, but has unhittable stuff. If his control improved, he could be an impact closer for a major league club.
