Looks for fastball early in the count and has a compact swing allowing him to drive ball into gaps; can get out front early and chases against off-speed pitches. Balanced swing allows him to be fooled and still make decent contact. Below-average raw power with better ability to utilize speed on balls hit into gaps. Plus defender who utilizes his natural reaction skills to take strong path to balls; takes away hits and uses strong arm to hold runners from advancing. Utilizes his above-average speed both on the bases and in the field. Will go 1st-to-3rd and can score from 1st; Can steal bases with quick first step but also passive at times. Defense will help him continue to advance, but needs to keep working on recognizing pitches and staying back against off-speed stuff.
