Hit 30 45 Level plane with above-average bat speed. Will get long and has primarily a pull approach. Big swing and miss, will expand the zone with two strikes, but showing improved plate discipline - see more consistent contact coming.

Raw Power 40 55 Damage potential; above-average raw power; has the ability to drive the ball out to the big part of the field. Carry on his line drives. Swing and miss limits power potential a bit; will hit some home runs, but see the power playing more to the gaps.

Run 45 45 4.44 HP-to-1B. Much better underway; long strides, athletic gait. Takes a couple steps to get to full speed. The run plays well on defense.

Field 50 60 Has above-average range; very good lateral actions, range to both sides. Has very good body control; plus athlete. Very quick hands, transfer on double-play turns, good footwork around the bag. Feet will get tied up at times coming in on slow rollers - tries to be too quick and body gets out front of lower half.

Overall Summary
Plus athlete with extra base hit/damage potential and a chance to be a plus defender at second base. Very quick hands and hits the ball hard, but has a poor approach and will get pull happy and expand the strike zone. Saw some improvements later in the season and a concerted effort to be more patient and drive the ball the right side. If the approach improves, he has the athleticism to control the barrel some more and limit the strikeouts. Supremely confident on defense; likes to be flashy and will get lazy at times leading to mistakes, but has showed improved focus in my AFL looks. I think the trade to Atlanta was a bit of a wakeup call. Saw a big jump in his walk rate post-trade; playing with a little bit of renewed purpose; expect the play to become more consistent in 2017.
