Player Notes
Mets fans finally rejoiced as they were able to welcome their most vaunted prospect in recent memory to the big leagues. A two-time Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game participant (2016 and 2017), the 21-year-old Rosario is an outstanding athlete who brings plus defense and continues to develop his offense as well. In 2016, he led the organization with 155 hits and 13 triples, the latter of which tied him for fourth in the minors, as he combined to hit .324 in 120 games between St. Lucie (High A) and Binghamton (Double-A) with five home runs, 71 RBIs and 19 steals. That came after a .253 combined average at the same two stops a year earlier, and also marked a career-best in RBIs, though with a full season in the minors he almost undoubtedly would have beaten that number this season.
