Player Notes
Drafted out of Purdue, the versatile Perkins can play both corner-infield and corner-outfield spots, but he's not the prototypical power hitter you normally expect from someone regularly playing those positions. He's hovered around Double-A and Triple-A for the past three-plus seasons, hitting .292 with eight home runs, 47 RBIs, 11 stolen bases and 20 doubles at Lehigh Valley in 2016 with a .329 OBP and .419 SLG in 117 games. In 2015 he played 100 games at Reading (Double-A) in a summer interrupted by on-and-off back trouble, hitting .252 with 11 home runs, 51 RBIs and 25 doubles. He split the 2014 campaign between Double-A and Triple-A stops, combining to bat .271 with five home runs and 51 RBIs in 126 games, hitting .216 in 74 games at Lehigh Valley, and .342 in 52 games at Reading.
