Player Notes
Making his big league debut at just 21 years old, Arroyo is considered the Giants' top offensive prospect and was ranked by Baseball America just behind his friend LHP Tyler Beede on their Top 30. The 25th overall pick in the 2013 draft out of Brooksville (Florida) High School, he was a USA Baseball standout on the 18U team and has hit a combined .300 in 359 games coming into his debut. With minimal speed and debatable power, he still has a live bat and a plus arm that makes him a good fit at either of the left-side-of-the-infield positions. He's an aggressive player who exudes confidence. In 2015 at San Jose (High A), still in his teens, he hit .304 in 90 games with nine home runs and 42 RBIs.
