Debut Details
July 25, in a 3-2 win against the Rockies. The starting center fielder, he batted seventh and went 1-for-4 with a run scored, the run which proved to be the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. In the second, facing right-handed starter Jon Gray, he grounded out to shortstop. In the fourth, with two on and no one out, he struck out swinging. In the sixth, against left-handed reliever Mike Dunn with one on and one out, he flew out to center. In the ninth, facing left-handed reliever Jake McGee and the score tied at 2-2, he led off the inning with a double to left. After moving to third on a sac bunt by Greg Garcia, he scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Jedd Gyorko.

Player Notes
A standout at the University of Florida, he flashed enough power in his 2015 pro debut to lead his draft class in home runs, combining to slash .311/.368/.523 with 11 home runs, 32 RBIs and 17 steals in 61 games between State College (Short-Season A) and Peoria (Class A). In 2016, he continued his quick climb, skipping High A as he combined to hit .267 in 131 games between Springfield (Double-A) and Memphis, hitting 19 home runs and adding 58 RBIs and 13 steals. An aggressive hitter with polish and confidence, he has the arm and range for center field if he stays there.
