Debut Details
September 1, in the second game of a day-night doubleheader 10-0 loss to the Indians. The fifth of six pitchers on the night, he allowed one hit in one shutout inning. Of 14 pitches thrown, nine were for strikes. Coming on to start the eighth inning in relief of right-handed reliever Zac Reininger, he gave up a single to left by Abraham Almonte and then retired pinch-hitter Francisco Mejia, making his own big league debut at that moment, on a fly ball to right field. After Carlos Santana flew out to center, Labourt got yet another of the night's debutantes, Greg Allen, to ground out to third base to end the inning.

Player Notes
First signed on his 17th birthday by the Blue Jays, the Tigers shifted Labourt to the bullpen and he dominated in his first full season in relief, posting an 0.66 ERA to open the summer at Lakeland before moving up to Erie where he posted a 2.64 ERA in 21 games and then finished at Toledo, limiting International League hitters to a .158 average in his 16 games there. Armed with a plus fastball and slider, he has a live arm and power stuff that is a good fit for late-inning bullpen duty. He's combined for a 3.61 career ERA.
