Player Notes
Moroff had made a steady climb through the Pirates system, one level at a time, and in the process also moved from shortstop to second base which improved his defensive potential. After struggling at the plate in 2013 at West Virginia (Class A) and 2014 at Bradenton (High A), not getting his average over .244 in that time, he made strides at Altoona (Double-A) in 2015, hitting .293 with seven homers, 51 RBIs and 17 steals along with 28 doubles in 136 games. Moroff was sent back to the minors on August 4.
