Player Notes
Marjama is with his third pro organization after having been drafted out of Long Beach State by the White Sox, dealt to the Rays in January of 2013 for a player to be named later, and then traded again to the Mariners in early August of this season. A high school wrestler as well as baseball star, he has the durability and work effort that comes with that sport's territory. A two-time All-Conference pick while at Long Beach State, he's worked his way through the minors sharing the catching role wherever he's gone but posting very solid offensive numbers, highlighted by a .302 average and nine home runs in 90 games at Charlotte (High A) in 2015. This past season marked his Triple-A debut, after hitting .288 with five home runs and 38 RBIs at Montgomery (Double-A) in 2016.
