Player Notes
A 2013 senior sign for the Rockies out of Bradley, Tauchman’s development in the Rockies' system got off to a slow start when he began his 2014 season back at extended spring training, but he reached the High-A Modesto Nuts in late June of that year, and he hasn’t looked back. After posting an .838 OPS in 2014 with the Nuts, Tauchman hit .294 and stole 25 bases for Double-A Hartford in 2015. Last season, Tauchman hit .286 with 23 stolen bases for Triple-A Albuquerque. In 2017, Tauchman’s power has emerged. Before the season, he had eight home runs for his entire career. At the time of his promotion, he had hit 10 this season alone. Tauchman is a contact hitter with good speed who can cover some ground in center field.
