| September 3, in a 7-2 loss to the Brewers. Pinch-hitting for left-handed reliever Enny Romero in the eighth inning with two outs and no one on, he grounded out to second base and then stayed in the game behind the plate in place of starting catcher Jose Lobaton. |
Player Notes
| Read posted career highs in home runs, RBIs, doubles and hits in 2017, earning Eastern League All-Star honors during the mid-season tilt. He combines a solid arm with some power potential and a bat that is certainly not a liability. In 2016 at Potomac (High A) he earned MiLB.com Nationals organization All-Star honors, hitting .262 in 101 games with nine home runs and 51 RBIs, both personal bests at that point but eclipsed by his Harrisburg stats this summer. |
