Player Notes
Drafted out of Kent State, Williams missed all of 2015 and 2016 following Tommy John surgery and was on and off the Biloxi DL this past summer, as the club was being very careful with his arm. A quick arm max-effort kind of guy, he throws a tailing fastball in the mid 90s and a hard slider. IN 2014, his last full season, he combined between Wisconsin (Class A) and Brevard (High A) to go 9-3 with a 2.72 ERA in 27 games, 17 of them starts and two of them complete games as well as going 4-for-4 in save opportunities, striking out 137 in 132 1/3 innings and walking just 28 while allowing 107 hits for a .219 BAA.
