Hit 20 30 Big load, take-back; tends to drop to the back side early, really works uphill. Tends to get out/around anything to outer half. Can handle the ball down, but has holes under his hands and away. Showed some ability to shorten up vs. better velo. Looks far more comfortable from left side.

Raw Power 30 45 Carry on the fly-balls with loft-type pop. Can drive the ball to the big part of the field. Raw pop to miss-hit a ball and still get it out to pull side.

Field 30 45 Slow actions behind the plate; high target and limited lateral range. Slow footwork on throws to 2B, feet get heavy. Hands are strong, but can be noisy. First pro season, can see some improvement coming.

Throw 40 40 2.20, 2.15 times to second. Throws show hump and lack finish. Stayed online without much tail, but will rush at times and have it sail to second-base side.

Overall Summary
Strong-bodied switch-hitting catcher with some loft-type power and a chance to get to fringe average defensively. Really tends to work underneath the ball and struggles with pitches out away from him right now. Does not have great bat speed, but has easy actions and manages to generate his power without a ton of effort. Looks like he has an idea at the plate - stays balanced and shows some feel for the strike zone. Track record of plate discipline in college that has not carried over in first taste of pro action, but can see him having some on-base ability in the future. Can see him getting to fringe average defensively. Below-average arm with some accuracy. Will have to stay behind the plate to maintain value.
