Physical Description
Strong build, big frame; thick lower half, present strength with some projection.
Mechanical Notes
Long arm in back; gets good extension out front; uses lower half well; some weakness in front side will lead to some misses middle/middle, but he's making an effort to correct.

Curveball
Curveball 50 60 79-81 81 11-to-5 breaker; can throw for strikes, gets some hump, but will change shape; quick hand, shows some snap. Will use back door to LHH when ahead; not comfortable using when down in count.

Slider
Slider 40 55 82-83 83 3/4 break, but will get loose; has some depth, but lacks consistent bite, feel. See improvement coming with the offering given how the arm works and how he spins the CB.

ChangeUp
ChangeUp 45 55 81-83 85 Circle action; shows some hard, late dive, but inconsistent; all middle to arm side. Very good arm action with it, feel and consistency should improve.

Overall Summary
Big, strong, top-end #3 SP with a chance for three above average-to-plus pitches. Repeatable delivery, easy arm action, creates some angle; not at max effort and gets some late hop through the zone. Has some consistency issues with command, but shows a plan, awareness to pitch to both sides; changes eye level with the fastball. Learning how to throttle up and back; extra gear when he needs it. Would like to see him work inside more. Curveball is the better of two breaking balls now; can locate it for strikes and will use back-door to LHH, but feel comes and goes. Presently leans heavily on the fastball when down in count; gets predictable. Can lose the plate for stretches, but showed some poise, ability to battle out of it in this look. Will have to develop use of secondary at upper levels. Ingredients are there; has some weapons while still learning how to pitch. Could make a case for future Role 7 with more consistent command and use of secondary.
