Overall Summary
Although Reyes is sticking at third base to begin his minor league career, he has first baseman written all over him, due to his limited range and below-average footwork at third. He has the arm to stick at third base, but the athleticism isn't there. At the plate, he generates a ton of power to all fields; especially to the opposite field, as he can can fully extended on pitches on the outer half of the plate. His leg kick is moderate, but he controls himself and stays balanced at the plate. Flashes patience in his approach at the plate, but is still struggling to identify secondary pitches. However, his approach is above average for a player his age. He lost weight over the offseason, which could provide minimal help to him sticking at third base. Overall, he has a strong hitting foundation that will allow him to be a regular first baseman at the major league level. Although his arm is a plus, his lack of athleticism and speed will limit him to first base.
