Slider | |||||
Slider | 40 | 50 | 86 | 86-88 | 4th pitch; stand alone, it is below-average w lack of consistency, sweepy break. Doesn't need it. In pen session and 1-2 in games had more sharpness and 2-8 type slide off the barrel. Plays up with repertoire; gives pitcher 4th velo band to work in. |

ChangeUp | |||||
ChangeUp | 50 | 60 | 83-84 | 83-85 | Maintains armspeed; plus fade and separation. When he's locating on or off plate edges it is swing-and-miss to RH. Has used to LH but needs confidence to do it more. Still working on location, can hang it, but pitch will develop. |

Control | |||||
Control | 55 | 60 | — | — | Pounds zone. When FB command sailed, still prioritized strikes-- not a nibbler. Secondary feel still in development but he already locates CB in zone consistency and flashes it with CH. |

Overall Summary
Athletic four-pitch lefty with advanced command, plus delivery and swing-and-miss stuff: projects to #1-2 SP role. In May, showed heavy developmental approach on FB usage, only handful of secondaries. Showed pitchability to mix all four pitches in late in outing, March intersquad. Body and ease of operation project for 200+ innings.
