Potter is an extremely large presence on the mound, standing 6-foot-6 and a broad 284 pounds. His size and arm-strength intrigue, but there isn’t enough off-speed or pitchability to push him above the 35+/Follow tier for now. Potter runs his fastball to the 95-96 mph range at best, consistently working at 92-to-94 mph. If he can shed some weight and firm up the softness in his frame, it’s intriguing to think about a tick more velocity potentially being unlocked. His low-70s curveball has depth but lacks tightness or power, and a low-80s changeup grades as a crude below-average pitch. |
