NOTES FROM THE FIELD, INSTRUCTS:

  • Medium and athletic frame; lithe build with tapered features and wiry strength; room to add good muscle as body matures.
  • Hitterish with rhythm and balance; line drive swing with level path, both-fields contact; works counts, advanced zone feel. 
  • Lacks present strength or leverage in swing for power. Will grow into a bit more as he matures, but always a contact/gap hitter type.
  • Plus runner who needs to shore up reads and baserunning instincts. Tools to make an impact with his wheels.
  • Looks the part in CF with long, easy strides. Routes are somewhat circuitous ranging back right now, but can correct. 
  • Solid present arm-strength with athletic throwing motion and easy carry. Chance to finish with above-avg arm as he gets stronger.

SUMMARY: Projectable athlete, well-rounded toolset. Ceiling of ML regular in CF with above-average hitting ability, speed, and defense. The glove and wheels will get him to the big leagues, floor is no less than solid bench OF who slots in all three spots.
