Ynfante’s 2018 season was uninspiring—a .213/.301/.328 line at 20-21 years old in the New York-Penn League—but his athleticism and tools merit a spot on this list. He isn’t overly physical at 6-foot and 160 pounds, but Ynfante’s twitchy frame still can generate power from a quick bat and good hip torque in the swing. He runs well, a potential double-digit stolen base threat who projects to remain in CF. All this won’t mean much if his approach doesn’t improve, as Ynfante’s strikeout rates have hovered around 30-percent against low-minors competition. The raw tools give him some chance to reach the big leagues, but Ynfante will need to turn a corner offensively in order for that to happen.
