Diaz signed for $15.5 million this past offseason out of Cuba, and while he is raw, it’s easy to see the tools that have Dodgers so high on this 19-year-old. He showed some lighting in the hands when he turned on a middle 90’s fastball at his eyes for a homer to left field. His lanky, wirey frame has room to fill out a bit and he should get a lot stronger. There isn’t much of an approach at the plate right now, but he has great actions and the ingredients are there.
