Debut Details
June 23, in a 5-4 loss to the Royals. The starting right fielder, he batted ninth and went 0-for-3 with a sacrifice bunt. In the third, facing right-handed starter Jake Junis with one out, he grounded out to first base unassisted. In the fourth, with two on and two outs, he grounded out to second. In the seventh, with one on and no one out, he laid down a successful bunt to advance baserunner Ryan Goins to second. In the ninth, he led off the inning by striking out swinging against right-handed reliever Joakim Soria.

The Liberty University product was such as last-minute and unexpected call-up to give the Blue Jays an extra bat to replace active-but-hobbled right fielder Steve Pearce that MLB didn't even have a little color photo of him for his Gameday avatar, The Snohomish, Washington native has never played in more than 100 games in a season in five-plus years, most recently hitting .294 in 92 games at New Hampshire (Double-A) with two home runs, 16 RBIs ad 13 stolen bases. He combined to bat .228 in 78 games between Dunedin (High A) and New Hampshire in 2015 with one home run, 22 RBIs and six steals and a combined .224 in 2014 between two Class A stops, Lansing (Class A) and Dunedin. Both 2012 and 2013 were spent at Vancouver (Short-season A).
