April 3, in a 4-3 win over the Reds. Pinch-hitting for reliever and RHP Edubray Ramos with two outs in the eighth, he drew a walk from Reds reliever and RHP Michael Lorenzen. He moved to second on a wild pitch but was left stranded when Cesar Hernandez lined out to third to end the inning.

Player Notes
The older brother of Astros catching prospect Max Stassi had less hype than his sibling did, making his climb as a 33rd-rounder out of Nevada, but he was one of the biggest surprises this spring, making the Phillies as an unheralded non-roster invitee. His teary reaction caught on video became a viral sensation. After hitting just .232 with eight home runs and 44 RBIs at Reading (Double-A) in 2014, Stassi returned there for a second go-round in 2015 and caught some eyes, batting .300 with 15 home runs and 90 RBIs. He continued to flash power in his Triple-A debut in 2016, earning the camp invite and becoming one of the biggest feel-good stories this spring.
