Player Notes
A senior-sign out of University of New Mexico, the Albuquerque native is a hitter who can catch rather than vice versa. His powerful bat will always be his best tool, but his improvement behind the plate is what kept him moving up steadily through the system with a career .271/.364/.429 slash line. That improved defensive package included throwing out 48 percent of opposing baserunners in 2016 between Chattanooga (Double-A) and Rochester where he combined to bat .270 with 12 home runs, 74 RBI's and 30 doubles. His lone offensive drought came in 2015 at Fort Myers (High A) where he batted .245 with four home runs and 58 RBIs after having hit .298 at Cedar Rapids (Class A), with 16 home runs and 79 RBIs along with 29 doubles.
