Player Notes
This past season marked Goodrum's Triple-A debut, as he's climbed through the ranks since being drafted out of high school in Fayetteville, Georgia. Though officially listed as a third baseman because you have to list a player SOMEWHERE, he's the ultimate super-utilityman, and played every spot in the infield and outfield except for catcher this season at Rochester, and throughout his career for that matter. After missing some time to injury in 2016 when he hit a combined .275 with seven home runs, 33 RBIs and nine steals between Fort Myers (High A) and Chattanooga (Double-A), he put up good numbers and his usual versatility with the Red Wings, becoming a fan favorite. Goodrum, whose given first name is Cartier (Niko is his middle name) has plus plate discipline as well.
