| September 8, in a 2-0 loss to the Brewers. Went 0-for-1. Pinch-hitting for right-handed starter John Lackey with two outs and no one on in the bottom of the seventh inning, facing left-handed reliever Josh Hader, he struck out on a foul tip. |

| A non-drafted signee out of Morehead State, Davis had been drafted out of high school by the Marlins in the 49th round of the 2008 MLB Draft but did not sign, opting instead fo play college ball. A solid average hitter who can also play first base, he combined to hit .265 with two home runs and 30 RBIs between Eugene (Short-Season A), Tennessee (Double-A) and Iowa in 2016 after hitting .311 with nine home runs, 43 RBIs and 18 doubles for a .483 SLG between Tennessee and Iowa in 2015. |
