Player Notes
One of the most highly anticipated prospects to come up this fall, Robles becomes the youngest player in the majors at 20 years old and just the second born in 1997 (Braves infielder Ozzie Albies was the first, born in January of that year). Ranked by MLB.com as the No. 4 prospect in all of the minors, and not surprisingly therefore the Nationals' No. 1 prospect, he's slashed for a career .304/.395/.470 in his brief time as a pro and was a Carolina League All-Star this past summer. A true rare five-tool player with plus plus speed and arm and excellent range, he hit .280 with nine home runs, 42 RBIs and 37 steals between the Gulf Coast League (Complex), Hagerstown (Class A) and Potomac in 110 games in 2016, his first full season. In 2015, he batted .352 in 61 games between the GCL and Auburn (Short-Season A) with 24 steals after hitting .313 in 47 games in his pro debut in the Dominican Summer League in 2014, swiping 22 bases.
