Overall Summary
Undersized right-handed starting pitcher who should slot in the back-end of a rotation with two solid-average pitches. Plus command will be the key to Jefferies' success, as his pitches tend to flatten out when up in the zone and become hittable. All offerings look the same out of the hand, creating deception. Slider needs the most improvement as it has very little depth, but should be a serviceable pitch in the future given his pitchability. Strike thrower, but needs to work the corners of the plate to have success. Suffered a shoulder injury during the 2016 college season, but rehabbed and progressed favorably during the AZL, making the injury a minimal concern. Will give up his fair share of hits, but can minimize the damage and log quality innings at the major league level in the near future. Future number four starter.
