Potential plus overall defender at premium position who is a double-plus athlete with double-plus arm strength; will hit enough to keep the premium glove in the lineup. Shows great instincts at the shortstop position, an advanced game clock, and plus body control on the move. There is some physical projection there; has a smooth, athletic stroke at the plate with some present raw power to pull; can see him getting stronger and getting to fringe-average in-game power. Will see pitches, not an ambush guy, but lacks a consistent approach; gets way too passive, will give away AB's and lacks the plate discipline to battle back from down in the count. Can lose focus, get lazy/sloppy on routine plays and kick the ball around. Still very young though and given the athleticism and ease of actions, can see some improvement coming as he matures. Compares to Didi Gregorius (SS, Yankees) at the major league level.
